This book focuses on all aspects of wireless systems that support mobile computing. In particular, all aspects of distributed computing with mobile communication capability. A large number of manuscripts were received and the best 6 of them were chosen. The chapters span a range wide enough to benefit readers experts or getting in wireless systems and mobile computing.
The first chapter introduces the subject of Protocols for Service Discovery in Dynamic and Mobile Networks. The second chapter investigates the problem of reducing PCS signaling traffic through delay techniques. Then, the authors of the third chapter describe Mobile Two-Tier Gateways (MTTG’s) for PCS systems.
The next chapter investigates the mathematical modeling and evaluation techniques to predict the performance of wireless/mobile systems. Following this, the next study proposes a fuzzy bandwidth allocation controller (FBAC) to support real-time traffic over wireless networks. Finally, the last chapter develops and proposes a new enhanced Connection Admission Control (CAC) based on learning fuzzy logic in order to monitor and dynamically adjust the reserved bandwidth in adjacent cells where the connection exists.
