Dialogues among Civilizations and Cultures (Series Description) $0.00
Book Description:
Dialogues among Civilizations and Cultures

The unifying theme of this ongoing series is the proposition that a dialogue among civilizations and cultures is infinitely preferable to a clash of civilizations. The volumes in the series will present both philosophical and practical ideas and experience in this urgent area of international relations. Coverage will not be limited to any geographical region, cultural group or set of problems. Ideas and experience in religious, political and cultural fields are particularly encouraged. Contributions may range from 5,000-25,000 words (exceptions to these ranges are possible upon mutual agreement).

The essential ingredient is that an interaction of least 2 cultures or civilizations must be a central part of the contribution. This series was inspired by the enthusiastic encouragement of Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia Ilya II, who is an established world leader in developing mechanisms for a dialogue between civilizations and cultures.

This series has a sister series "Focus on Civilizations and Cultures" which will publish targeted books on a wide range of cultural experiences.
