Book Description:
The geographic position, climate and soil district setting of forest-steppe related to environmental zone of atmospheric impact upon Baikal Natural Territory (Russia, Irkutsk) have been described. This book focuses on the impact of contemporary anthropogenic and climate factors on soil status, soil microbe complex and crop cultivar. Agroecosystems were investigated as a functional model of interacting components (soil-microorganisms-plants-atmosphere) integrated by carbon flows. An attempt was made to show the influence of environmental factors on co-operative interactions between individual components, functioning regime and agroecosystems sustainability as a whole.
