THE STUDY ON IMPACTS OF GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE ON THE AGRICULTURE IN NORTHWEST CHINA

Abstract: In this paper, based on systematically concluding the main research achievements on impacts of global climate change on the agriculture in Northwest China, response characteristics of modern agricultural climate are revealed. Regularity of impacts of climate change on soil moisture, climatic productivity and nine sorts of crops is expounded, especially impacts on the crops are presented in detail. It is found that the effects of climate change on the crops are not only advantageous but also disadvantageous, and those effects show significant differences among different crops. The research is of scientific meaning for agricultural activities in Northwest China.
