Corona Charging of Synthetic Polymer Films $69.00
Authors: T.A. Yovcheva (University of Plovdiv, Plovdiv, Bulgaria)
Book Description:
Synthetic polymer films are most widely used as materials for the production of stable charged films. One of the simplest and most widespread methods for charging the polymers involves the use of corona discharge in air at room temperature. The corona discharge creates high energy oxygen-containing charged particles, which are accelerated by the electric field of the corona and then interact with the surface of the polymer films. This book is a review of three aspects of synthetic polymer films changes initiated by corona charging, as well as their possible applications.

Table of Contents:
1. Introduction

2. Synthetic polymer films - PP, PET and PTFE

3. Corona charging process

4. Investigation of changes in charged surfaces initiated by corona charging

4.1 Analyzed by XPS

4.2. Analyzed by an optical method

5. Influence of different treatment on charged films stability

5.1. Storage at pressure lower than atmospheric

5.2. Irradiation by a low energy laser

5.3. Storage at various relative humidity values

6. The corona charging influence on holographic recording
