The War On Terrorism: Impact On Al Qaeda $25.00
Authors:  Davis, John (Howard University)
In previous chapters, the contributors endeavored to illustrate the expansive nature of the war on terrorism. The reader was provided a glimpse of the complexity of the US crusade against al Qaeda in number of areasAfrica and the war on terror, the strategic US-Indo-Pak relationship, the grand strategy behind the war on terror, an assessment of homeland security and the Bush doctrine, al Qaeda's presence in the Balkans and Southeast Asia, International Law and the war on terrorism, the growing threat of cyber terrorism and the role of special operations forces and other aspects associated with the campaign. Similarly, by following this focused analytical framework, we were able to provide an extraordinary examination to date of the internal and external dynamics that culminated in Clinton's abbreviated struggle with bin Laden, and currently, Bush's on-going encounter with the transnational empire. This chapter provides the first comprehensive assessment of the Clinton and Bush administrations efforts to confront al Qaeda. In the pages that follow, the editor provides a detailed appraisal of “what has been done” and “what should be done” to defeat al Qaeda.
