Abstract: This chapter includes basic information on the scaling effect in flui mechanics. Computational flui dynamics (CFD) is used to simulate and study the fl w and mix- ing process of two incompressible and miscible fluid in microscale. The mathematical model of the considered fl w, along with the computational procedure used to solve it, is also described. The microscale geometry of interest is a sequence of the differ- ent microconduits with a rectangular cross-section. Moreover, the influenc of fl w conditions and various arrangements of microconduits on mixing efficien y is also presented and discussed.
