Abstract: Aluminium phosphide (ALP) poisoning is a serious and burgeoning health problem in India , it not only represents a unique clinical substrate in that there is no specific antidote but itís easy availability and widespread use as an effective pesticide adds to the burden of serious health hazards that is seen in everyday clinical practice. In this chapter we review the pathophysiological basis and clinical manifestations of ALP poisoning, along with its prognostic variables and discuss how to best manage a case of ALP poisoning according to the recent available clinical evidence.
