Abstract:
High-frequency induction heating is an efficient way to rapidly heat metal surface by utilizing a high frequency skin effect. Because the procedure allows for the rapid heating and cooling of mold surfaces, it has been recently applied to the injection molding in various purposes. This article introduces basic theory of the high-frequency induction heating, multiphysics simulation techniques of the induction heating and injection molding, and various industrial applications of high-frequency induction heating to high quality injection molding.
