When to Exercise and Have Sports Activity to Enhance Heart Rate Variability and Overall Health (pp. 13-15) $0.00
Authors:  Jan Fedacko, Ram B. Singh, Richa H. Rai, Dominik Pella, Daniel Pella, and Viola Vargova
Abstract:
The early men and hunter-gatherers possibly had high physical activity due to running in the morning, in an attempt to kill animals during hunting in the morning when animals come to drink water in the rivers [1]. In the evolutionary point of view, running and stress may have become a circadian rhythm of increased sympathetic activity in the morning [1, 2]. Halberg was the first to realize the clinical importance of the fact that biological functions vary according to time structure during the 24-hour cycle of the day. Hence, chronotherapy with diet, exercise or drug may be safer and more efficacious if administered accordingly [3-5]. The role of circadian dysfunction and regulation of biological function have been proven in various publications, notably in Nature [6, 7]. This viewpoint aims to highlight the role of exercise as therapy, practiced in the morning compared to other times of the 24-hour day, to find out which time is most suitable for health promotion.
