Antimicrobial Efficacy of Photodynamic Therapy (pp. 275-276) $0.00
Authors:  S. N. Razumova, M. T. Aleksandrov, and O. A. Artemova
Abstract:
Inflammatory diseases are the most common form of pathology of the maxillofacial region, which has significant social and economic consequences for both the individual and the health care system as a whole. It is commonly believed that the oral cavity is the second most diverse microbial community in the human body, which is home to a variety of microbes, including bacteria, viruses and fungi [5].
Inflammatory processes associated with the oral cavity have their own unique, often mixed microflora, so a clear understanding of the features of its manifestation in diseases is necessary for dentists of all specialties for a clear formulation of forecasts and a reasonable choice of effective antimicrobial drugs [2, 3].
It should be noted that the existing methods of diagnosing the microbial factor in the oral cavity are long, expensive and are not Express for use "on the spot" in the area of the pathological focus. This makes it difficult to choose an effective anti-microbial therapy in a timely and adequate manner [1, 2, 5].
