Comparative Analysis of Electromyography Indicators of Masticatory Muscles in Individuals Doing Strength Sport (pp. 299-302) $0.00
Authors:  E. F. Nasibullina and M. F. Kabirova
Abstract:
The results of an electromyographic (EMG) study of the masticatory muscles in individuals doing strength sport was analyzed. We examined 90 male patients aged 18 to 30 years, 60 of whom were doing strength sport and were identified in the main group of the survey. The control group consisted of 30 people who are not related to sports identical in gender and age. Electromyographic activity indicators of the masticatory muscle group were recorded in the state of general symmetrical chewing and with maximum arbitrary compression of the teeth.
The results of the electromyograms analysis of athletes showed the presence of coordination disturbance of the chewing muscles. The dependence of EMG indicators on the duration of sports activity was revealed which is characterized by dynamic changes in the EMG indicators of the study.
